Sports massage therapy/ soft tissue therapy is a manual therapy that manipulates the soft tissue: Muscles, Fascia, Tendons, Ligaments and Joints.
This type of massage was originally developed for athletes as a way to prevent and relieve injuries, but both athletes and non athletes can gain physiological and psychological benefits from sports massage therapy. Sports massage therapy aims to treat minor and chronic injuries, whether caused by Sports, or other lifestyle factors. It can also be used to help manage chronic pain from other conditions.

Yes, anyone can uses sports therapy, you do not have to be involved in sports.
